Subsistence is a open world survival game in which you are alone in a Forrest and have nothing but a glow stick, a gun and an axe. The object of the game is survival, you must build up a base to live in while wild animals like bears and wolfs try to kill you. Some of my tips to survival would be to collect the chests that are spread throughout the map which can give you resources such as medical supplies, food, weapons, building supplies and much more. Having a base is a very important step to not dying, you can hide from animals in your base and keep warm at night in your base using a camp fire, if you are outside during the night you can freeze to death which is something you need to deal with.

AI Hunter's never showed up at my base and i'm not sure why. I have had the advanced base piece for the last couple days of playing but i didnt come across any.

Subsistence Day 2: Lots of failure!

Today the objective was to build a base which proved to be much harder then i had expected. The amount of minerals it takes just to build something like a wall was insane, the closest i got to building a base was a foundation with a fire on it but shortly after building it i was destroyed by a bear.

I learned a few things today such as to try and not be far up hills because of the cold and that trying to fight the bears is pointless because they kill me in two hits. Nails are something that i have trouble finding so when i do get some i need to try really hard to stay alive so i can finally start up a base and survive. I also learned how to flip people off which i'm quite proud of.

Subsistence: Day 1

The Good: My first time playing subsistence was very confusing and i didn't do much good but i got a couple cool things done, on my first life i ended up getting a good amount of loot and survived for a while which made the game fun until a bear came and ruined it all. I did start on a base but after i died i was unable to find it again. I enjoy the terrain and the way the map is, the random loot boxes made the game a lot easier.

The Bad: I don't think the game itself is bad i think i'm just bad at the game, i went into this game knowing close to nothing so it was hard for me to get my feet on the ground without a bear or a wolf ruining my day. I didn't know how to open my inventory almost the entire time i was playing which really made it hard because i was unable to heal myself or put out my fire for the night.

Overall: I'm enjoying the game so far despite the fact that i'm doing terrible, i look forward to playing tomorrow.

What are a person's basic needs?
Food and drink is needed to survive. Oxygen is needed to stay alive. Shelter is needed to stay safe during the night. Rest is needed so you can do things.
Definition of Subsistence; "The action or fact of maintaining or supporting one self at the minimum  level"

Subsistence is an open world first person survival game. In the world of subsistence survival doesn't come easy, you must use the game's vast crafting mechanic to make a base to live in, craft weapons to fend from wild animals and enemy's, garden and mine to gain resources and do whatever else it takes to survive the night.

The game is developed by ColdGames which is made up of one developer. This is ColdGames first game on steam, it was put out using steam's greenlight system.

Subsitence is compared to games like Rust, ARC, Minecraft and many other open world games.

The first thing you should do is make a shelter

                            FRIDAY POST WOW NICE!

I was only here from Wednesday-Friday because i was caged like a animal by the office, but in my small amount of time i did BIG amount of work and learned a few things.

Khan Academy: Learning the basics ( https://www.khanacademy.org/)

I've never done anything like this before so when i first looked at it i was confused and was just going to blow it off but no A+ student like myself would ever not do the work given to me so i decided to watch the tutorial and i made a sick snowman. I actually quite enjoyed doing this one and plan on getting the rest of the Khan Academy projects done next week!

Pivot Animation: Doing Terrible! (http://pivotanimator.net/)

Pivot was mostly new to me besides messing around with it a little in elementary school. I started on the volleyball animation which was an instant mistake because it's so tedious to move all the guys each frame but none the less i got pivot on my computer at home and i'm slowly working on it.

Learning!

Everything i did in Khan this week was something i just learned and i really enjoyed it!

Pivot not so much.
